Actor Vikrant Massey has clarified the buzz around his Instagram post, which led many to believe he was retiring from acting. The actor explained that his statement had been misinterpreted and that he is only taking a break to focus on his personal life and health.
In an interview with News18 Showsha, Vikrant shared that he is feeling burned out and needs time to recalibrate. “I’m not retiring… Just burned out. Need a long break. Miss home and health are also acting up,” he said. Addressing the rumors, he emphasized that acting is his passion and he intends to return after this hiatus.
The actor further explained that the monotony of work and the toll on his physical and mental health made him decide to step back temporarily. “My post has been misinterpreted. I just want to focus on my family and health for now. I’ll be back when the time feels right,” Vikrant clarified.
Despite his announcement, Vikrant made a public appearance at the screening of his latest film, The Sabarmati Report, at the Balayogi Auditorium in Parliament. Sharing the experience of watching the film alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other MPs, he refrained from addressing questions about his supposed retirement.
On Instagram, Vikrant had written an emotional note stating that after 2025, he plans to pause his acting career. “The last few years have been phenomenal. But it’s time to recalibrate and go back home—as a husband, father, and son. Thank you for everything,” the post read.
While fans were initially alarmed by the update, many have expressed their support for Vikrant’s decision to prioritize his health and family. The actor, known for his impactful performances, reassured fans that this is not a goodbye but a temporary break.
